Annette Miller joins the Company to play Paula Strasberg
in Nobody Dies on
Friday. She was last directed by David Wheeler
in The American Dream (with Robert Duvall) and in Cat
on a Hot Tin Roof at the Theater Company of Boston. Her more recent
Boston credits include Kate in Broadway Bound, Bag Lady in
Eastern Standard, Amanda in The Glass Menagerie,
Edith in Jake's Women, Sarah in The Sisters Rosensweig,
and Blanche in Brighton Beach Memoirs. As a member of Shakespeare
& Company, Ms. Miller recently played Zenobia in Ethan Frome
and was seen as Mrs. Birnbaum in the musical stage version of The Imported
Bridegroom. On Broadway she played Sylvie in the female cast of The
Odd Couple and The Old Woman in The Dance of Death
with Colleen Dewhurst, whom she also understudied. Off Broadway she was seen
as Debbie Wastba in The Primary English Class. Ms. Miller performed
in St. Petersburg and Yalta at the International Chekhov Festival in Russia,
playing the roles of Arkadina in The Seagull and Gertrude in
Hamlet. Her television credits include the recurring role of
Smythe/Bettina in "As the World Turns," and she appeared in the films The
Next Karate Kid, Night School, The Imported Bridgeroom, Boardwalk (with
Lee Strasberg), and Autumn Heart.
