OYA CAPELLE

Studied at the National Academy of Music in Istanbul form age 9 to 15 and was educated in playing the violin, as well as in performing, dancing and singing. During this time she also participated in various children theatre companies in Istanbul.  Since 1990 she performed with various theatre companies in the Netherlands, including Cosmic Theatre, The Regentes, MAP and TheatreCompany. Simultaniously she was also appearing with Turkish Theatre companies in Turkish productions. In 2004 she toured with The Veiled Monologues; took part in the Hollands-Nieuw (Dutch – new) Festival organized by ‘Nes Theatres’.  Television credits include several popular Dutch soaps, ‘Good times, Bad times’, ‘On your way to tomorrow’, ‘IC’ and ‘Heartbeat;’  in the last five years she has made TV segments for Turkish spoken programs for the NOS (Dutch channel like CNN) specifically for NPS and MTNL (MultiCultural TV Netherlands). Ms. Capelle does voice-overs of Turkish Language texts, is a Turkish-Dutch translator and a presenter on Turkish and Dutch gatherings as well as a spokeswoman on family violence for migrant women.
