Vincent Guastaferro, who plays
Joey in The Old Neighborhood,
graduated with an MFA degree from the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago. He remained
there during its burgeoning theatre scene in the late seventies to win awards
for his performances in Cowboy Mouth, P.S. Your Cat is
Dead, and Cowboy #2. Other Chicago and resident credits
include the title role of Scapino, Gromio in The Taming
of the Shrew, Artie in The House of Blue Leaves, Ben
in The Dumb Waiter, and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
His Los Angeles theatre credits include Lake Boat, Detective
Story, Bullpen, Creeps, Heart
Stopper, Lefty & Squinty, and No Place to
be Somebody. Vincent has appeared in several of David
Mamet's films, including Things Change, Homicide, and Water Engine.
Other film
credits include State of Grace, Legal Eagles, King of the Mountain, Megaville,
Nothing in Common, and Working Stiffs. On television he has a recurring
role on "NYPD Blue" and was seen in several mini-series including "Sinatra" and
"In a Child's Name." He has worked extesively in Los Angeles area theatres as
well as in staged productions in Chicago and New York.
